Avanti new gen, ‘tata’ to old gen

Several new scions are joining the family business as the older generation takes a back seat. Priya Agarwal is taking the driver’s seat in the Vedanta group while Ananya Birla is leaving her music to focus on the family business at the Aditya Birla group.

Last year, Mukesh Ambani’s children were given specific companies to manage, with Akash running Jio and twin Isha joining Reliance Retail. The next generation of the Godrej family is also firmly in place. Maya Tata, Noel Tara’s daughter, is also being groomed for a top job in one of the Tata group companies, as present chairman N Chandrasekaran reaches retirement age by 2026.
