Cyient DLM, an integrated partner for design-led manufacturing, has signed a production contract with Boeing Global Services (BGS) for precision-machined parts and assemblies, marking a key milestone in their partnership. This precision-machin ing project award to the company high lights its growing capabilities in deliver ing high-precision components to the aerospace sector.
It also underscores its position as a trusted partner in the aerospace and de fence sector. The company has among the first AS9100C aerospace certified elec tronic manufacturing facilities and is the first in India to obtain the National Aero space and Defence Contractors Accredi tation Programme (NADCAP) certification for Circuit Card Assembly (CCA).
With over 30 years of experience, Cyient DLM specializes in manufacturing prototypes, small-batch production, box builds, and complete sub-assemblies and assemblies involving precision machining and detailed integration. The company also excels in additive manufacturing (3D printing) for proof-of-concept designs, design verification, and functional testing.
In another development, the company has been awarded a strategic avionics manufacturing programme by Thales, a global technology leader. Under this collabora tion, Cyient DLM will manufacture high-reliability printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs) for Thales’s next-genera tion flight avionics systems, further strengthening its posi tion as a trusted manufacturing partner in the global aero space and defence ecosystem. These mission-critical PCBAs will be deployed in leading commercial aircraft platforms, reinforcing its expertise in high-reliability electronics.
Expressing his sense of satisfaction, Antony Montalbano, CEO of the company, said “The contract with Boeing is a significant achievement, showcasing our advanced manu facturing capabilities and unwavering commitment to excel lence. We are honoured to collaborate with Boeing, a glo bal leader in aerospace, and we look forward to strengthen ing this relationship by consistently delivering products that meet the highest industry standards.”
Commenting on the long-term avionics manufacturing award from Thales, Mr Montalbano said, “This collabora tion highlights our company’s strong capabilities in deliver ing high-reliability electronics for the aerospace industry, and we will be supporting Thales with world-class manu facturing solutions. This also further strengthens our com mitment to advancing avionics technology through strategic partnerships with global aerospace lead ers, and we continue to push the bound aries of innovation in aerospace and defence electronics.”
Prior to the aforementioned two MoUs, a couple of months ago, Cyient DLM had announced its partnership with Honeywell Aerospace Technologies for the ground-breaking micro vapour cycle system (Micro VCS), aimed at revolutionising aircraft cooling technology. The company inked a 16-year programme forecast to develop liquid cooling loops that will be used in select applications of Micro VCS.
Micro VCS is poised to redefine cabin temperature control. Crafted meticulously while prioritizing sustainability and effi ciency, Micro VCS represents a leap forward in shaping the future of aircraft. A first of its kind micro vapour cycle system, Micro VCS is up to 35 per cent lighter and 20 per cent more efficient than systems with comparable cooling capacity.
Speaking on this development, Mr. Montalbano had then said, “We are honoured to have been selected by Honeywell Aerospace Technologies to work with them on Micro VCS. This strategic collaboration brings to market the collective strengths in aviation technology of Honeywell AT and Cyient DLM, to drive forward the development of Micro VCS.” He added, “This project exemplifies our commitment to pushing through strategic collaborations with industry leaders like Honeywell AT, and continues to position us as an important player in shaping the landscape of aerospace engineering.”
The company is a leading integrated electronics manufac turing solutions provider that offers design-led manufacturing (DLM) solutions to customers. It takes ownership of design, manufacturing, testing, precision machining, and certification support to ensure that customers’ products meet robust reli ability, safety, and performance standards. It has expertise in safety-critical electronics in highly regulated industries. Cyient Ltd, the flagship company of the group, holds a 52.16 per cent equity stake in NSE-BSE listed Cyient DLM, which has a market capitalisation of Rs 3,391 crore.
