This collaboration marks LTTS' foray into the private 5G landscape, leveraging BSNL's spectrum and network infrastructure while offering comprehensive solutions to enterprises.
LTTS plans to simultaneously focus on artificial intelligence (AI) and 5G as part of its expansion strategy. The company aims to increase its workforce fivefold to 1,000 employees in 2023. Furthermore, LTTS is developing a proprietary BERT model specifically tailored for enterprise use.
The partnership between LTTS and BSNL brings together complementary digital and network capabilities, making it an ideal offering for enterprises. This collaboration will not only cater to the Indian market but also explore global opportunities.
Both LTTS and BSNL recognize the transformative potential of 5G, with a projected $1.3 trillion opportunity across various sectors such as healthcare, smart utilities, consumer applications, industrial manufacturing, and financial services. The total addressable market for enterprise 5G is estimated at $70 billion globally.
The global private 5G market is expected to exceed $8 billion by 2026, exhibiting a compound annual growth rate of 35.7% starting from 2022. Indian enterprises are increasingly adopting private networks to meet the demand for faster speeds and lower latency, driven by digitization and automation trends.
The government's approach towards private 5G networks is progressive, and LTTS believes that regulations and rules surrounding private 5G will evolve to allow seamless data transfer to and from the cloud. This adaptability will further enhance the effectiveness of private 5G enterprise networks.
LTTS is actively expanding its workforce to strengthen its AI capabilities and develop
solutions in collaboration with hyperscalers. The company is also working with industry
leaders such as Nvidia, Mavenir, and Qualcomm to implement private 5G networks in
Europe and the US. LTTS is setting up testing labs in Munich, Germany, and Santa Clara,
California, to ensure network assurance and quality.
The partnership between LTTS and BSNL signifies a significant step towards establishing
private 5G networks for enterprises in India. LTTS' expertise in AI, combined with BSNL's
network infrastructure, will enable the development of comprehensive solutions for various
industries. With the projected growth of the global private 5G market, LTTS aims to leverage
this collaboration to tap into emerging opportunities and drive innovation in the
